For groups of eight or more we offer special arrangements. We plan a route that suits your wishes, including a good stop along the way. Whether you are out with friends, family or colleagues: we make sure it is a group outing to remember. Couples, families and groups up to 20 people

Enjoy a great day out on Texel together. Children from 12 years old and anyone in reasonable shape can rent a walking bike. The walking bike does a maximum of 25 kilometres per hour. The same rules apply as for ordinary bicycles. The batteries have a long range.

Tips for your ride

Start at the lighthouse

From De Cocksdorp you ride back south with the wind behind you.

Take the inland routes

The paths along the Hoge Berg are quieter than the coastal route and just as beautiful.

Plan a stop at the beach

At beach posts 9 and 17 you can park the bike right by the pavilion.

Dress in layers

There is almost always a breeze on the island. A windproof jacket is no luxury.

Take it easy at first

The first ten minutes feel awkward. After that you stop thinking about it.

Watch out for sheep

In spring the lambs roam free along the dyke paths. Ring your bell and they will step aside.
